The residential complex is based in the centre of the 890 acre wine estate, of which around 185 acres are vineyards where Sangiovese, Cabernet, Pinot and Merlot vines are carefully cultivated. A further 70 acres of the estate are used for the cultivation of olive groves, for the production of extra virgin olive oil. (D.O.P ; highest quality)
The complex, or ‘Borgo’ meaning small village in Italian, is built around the nucleus of the historic castle. The Borgo is comprised of the principle building being the Castle (Il Castello) which is the nucleus of the whole estate. There are seven apartments and four suites in the castle, and various farmhouses surrounding the castle. Only materials of the highest quality have been used in the construction and restoration of the properties, and meticulous attention to detail is evident throughout. Conservation has been a leading factor throughout the restoration project, with the use of many natural materials such as hand-manufactured earthenware tiles, terracotta, marlstone, and chestnut wood. Restoration and careful refurbishment have also been a priority, with original 16th Century doors and impressive fireplaces being restored to their original beauty.
These Residences keep original Tuscany elegance, and has been equipped with modern comfort (air conditioning, jacuzzi and/or shower, wardrobe, wide fireplaces, Temperature Control in any room)
The buildings will be served by prized facilities such as: restaurant, tavern, wine bar, swimming pool with panoramic terrace, Park, consecrated church, banquets and receptions, library and suites for guests.
Several services and facilities are available such as cleaning and gardening, security, total management for incomes and utilities plus own production of wine, oils and grappa.
